The 2014 Dixie Fellowship is just around the corner! And before we all head down to Camp Coker there is some important information all members of the Tsali contingent should know:
TRAVEL INFO - The current plan is to meet at 12 PM at the WNC Agricultural Center on Airport Road on Friday, April 25th. We will be taking a bus down to Dixie, and also please bring a tent, as we do not know whether or not they will be provided. If you are an Indian events member, there will be a mandatory practice at 11AM at the same place that day to practice before we must leave.
Don't forget to bring your medical forms! The medical form is attached and easily fill-able. Anyone who wants to attend or is currently registered must fill out parts A and B and bring them to the departure location. The medical form can be found at the end of this article.
For anyone leaving later on than 12PM on Friday, please see the below link on directions to Camp Coker and email me at [email protected] so that we can estimate how many people we will have down there from Tsali. If you need to come down late, email me at [email protected] and we can try to coordinate a carpool on Friday night/Saturday.

THEME - Finally, the new theme that Tsali is adopting as the lodge theme for Dixie is "gettin' down to business". After all, we are getting down to business and performing our best so that we can set the example for other lodges. In order to display this, it is imperative that everyone buy a suitcoat, tie, dress shirt, or any combination of the above from Goodwill($3-5) and bring it with you to Dixie. Also, if you have any old briefcases or other businessman supplies, those would be appreciated. It is a nice, easy, cheap way to show our spirit! We will even have a boombox in camp playing "Takin' Care of Business" throughout the weekend!
TOTEM POLE - If you are a youth and would like to submit a design for the totem pole, please take a picture of the drawing and send it to me at [email protected] This is a competition we do well in as a lodge, but our carver greatly appreciates the ideas of youth. All designs are considered!
All drum team members are reminded to bring long pants and a collard shirt(not the BSA uniform) for the performance on Saturdayafternoon.
As always, thank you for all you do for Tsali Lodge.
