Guess What.  We have a new Drum and Sing Team for Tsali Lodge.  We are looking for more participants to learn the songs and get in on a great thing.  We've had a couple practices and are singing at Winter Banquet(February 18th) and at Dixie. Call Brett Seuss or Me If Interested or send me a Message!  we need more drumers and singers so please come.

For those of you who were at the Winter Banquet you had the opportunity to see the Drum Team in action for the first time in front of an audience.  I think we did really well and a lot of people I've talked to are amazed that we have made so much progress in so little time everyone is doing a great job learning the songs and practicing.  Good job Tsali lodge Drum team

Just wanted to say that the Drum and Sing team has come a very long way in a short time.  If you heard us at Spring Fellowship... well, let's just say we were kinda having an off-day of sorts.  Our last practice, though, was the best we've ever had.  We established the three songs we are going to sing at Dixie, and we almost have them poerfected even.  If there was a practice worth recording, it was last week's Thursday practice.  I think we're going to do well at Dixie!  Hope I didn't jinx us just there.

Wow! Just one year of singing & our group finished second at Dixie and third at National Conference!! We have purchased two more drums & will, for now, have one in Brevard, one in Asheville, and one in Spruce Pine. We are always looking for more youth members to join. Contact VC of Indian Affairs Brett Suess for information on joining.

The "Twisted Rawhide" singers have been busy preparing for upcoming events. If you are interested in joining the group there are introductory sessions at most lodge events. There are weekly practices in Brevard & Asheville. Soon we will have THREE drums, so we will be able to spread them across the council. We will probably begin a group practice in Spruce Pine in the near future.
