Lodge Administration
Hey this is Travis Broadhurst. I am the Where to Go Camping Comittee Chairman. This week's place to go camping is the Coleman Boundary Area of the Pisgah National Forest. It is located near Barnardsville, NC. To get there, use exit 15 off of I-26 and go 6 miles to the town of Barnardsville. Turn right on Dillingham Road past the old fire station and go on that for another 6 miles. You will come to the National Forest boundary and then just go wherever you want to go. Here, there are many great places to go hiking and numerous spots for camping. There are also many places to go mountain biking. For more information, message me on Facebook or visit these links: http://www.hikewnc.info/trailheads/pisgah/appalachian/toecane/coleman.html

-Cody McMechen-
The National Order of the Arrow Conference is the best part of 2012 for the Order of the Arrow. There will be over 8,000 arrowmen at this event competing in athletic events, scout skills, and Indian affairs. This year NOAC will be at Michigan State University. You can come to classes that range from learning about patch ethics to ordeal management. To attend this event you will need to pay the first payment of $100 by January 31st, the second payment of $100 by February 29th, and the total due will be $450 for the youth and $800 for an adult. This event will be a great way to learn about the order, and a great way to other arrowmen from you lodge and from other lodges.
